Fire in the Sky

During the Thanksgiving holiday, I was trying to get some work done at the computer at home to make up for not being at the office for a few days. Deadlines don’t necessarily stop for holidays, as it turns out.

But while I was working in our upstairs office/computer/exercise/whatever room, I looked out the window and saw the sunset. And it looked great. So I ran downstairs to get my camera, and then I ran back upstairs to get a photo out the window before the light faded. And then I went back to work.

When I looked up again, the colors in the sky looked even better. Fortunately, I hadn’t taken my camera back downstairs, so I didn’t have to run down and up again. I just grabbed my camera and went to the window for another photo.

And then again, the same thing. This process was repeated at least four times, because the light just kept getting better and better. This particular photo is my favorite of all the ones from that afternoon, but all of them turned out better than I expected.

I know I said recently that you might be getting tired of seeing all these photos of our front yard. So at least this time around the photo is from a different perspective, since I took it from the second story instead of ground level at the front porch.

So you see, I can change things up from time to time. At least a little.
