Fall Colors In Our Yard Part 2
More Fall Colors For You
Fall is in full swing around our house. So as a follow-up from the earlier fall colors post, here are some more fall photos to capture the beauty of the season.
One morning, I noticed a light mist over the horse pasture. The mist had mostly gone by the time I got my camera, but you can still see a little of it there. And since I was out with my camera, I figured it was a good time to take some other fall photos, too.
Here is another view down our driveway. While in some of the past driveway view photos I have shown the view from the house, this one shows the rest of the driveway from the curve on down to the street. The sunlight had just started reaching things when I took this, and the golden tones are pretty nice.
We still have a few canna lily blooms. I liked the yellow color of this one. It almost looks like it is smiling at the camera, doesn’t it?
Fall colors and evergreen trees surround our horse barn. Once again, the morning sunlight was just starting to hit the tops of the trees here. And the horses were in the barn eating their morning meal at this point, so you can’t see them. I really liked the colors in this photo, even if the barn we built ourselves could stand to get a fresh coat of paint.
Lots of Leaves
While I was walking around the yard, I took lots of leaf photos. I decided to collect those into one gallery here. That way, you do not have to scroll through photo after photo of leaves. But you can still click on each one to see it a little larger. The leaves are displaying so many different colors now, and they are all fascinating.
For Comparison
This last photo is for comparison to a similar photo in the previous fall colors post. I had in mind to take a similar photo every week or two to observe the changes. As you might notice, there haven’t been many changes since that first photo. The sweetgum tree and the grass are a little more yellow than before, but not significantly. I will keep watching and photographing to see more progress.
Bible Verse
“These are the things that you shall do: Speak the truth to one another; render in your gates judgments that are true and make for peace; do not devise evil in your hearts against one another, and love no false oath, for all these things I hate, declares the Lord.” - Zechariah 8:16-17
About the Photos
Fall is probably my favorite season to photograph. Of course, you probably know that summer is my favorite season overall, but there is something special about the fall colors. They are a joy to photograph.
I purposefully waited for a beautiful, clear day to take these photos. That was mainly so that it would be easy to compare them to the previous photos. But maybe next time I will choose a cloudy day, just for a little variety.
As I mentioned above, the leaves were magnificent. I could have taken even more photos than I did, but I decided to limit myself, even if it was only slightly. Might as well save something for next time, right?
As before, these were taken using a zoom lens, and some touch-ups were applied in Aurora HDR to make things look even more spectacular.
And by the way, the barn photo is my favorite from this batch. Everything worked just right in that one.
