Strolling Along the Beach
Waves roll in on the shore at Cocoa Beach, Florida, in the early evening. This was the view as we strolled along the beach one evening during our visit last summer as part of our Disney Cruise trip. We had stopped at Cocoa Beach for a few days before we met up with the rest of our family and the cruise started.
I like evening strolls along the beach. We don’t always get to ake one for whatever reason, but when we can it is always nice. The heat of the day has left. Most of the people of the day have left. The daytime beach atmosphere, while enjoyable, has left. These have been replaced by cooler temperatures, a few people here and there, and a calm, relaxed atmosphere.
Of course, the waves still roll in and out, always in their constant motion. That part never changes. And even though much has changed about the beach, the fascination that I have for the beach never changes, even in the evening.
To Tell Or Not To Tell
I often wonder why more people aren’t out there on the beach in the evening, enjoying a leisurely stroll as we were doing. There were a few people out for a stroll or even a jog, but as you can see they were few and far between. In some ways, I hesitate to post this, because maybe if everyone knew how nice it is in the evening, then things might change. But that’s okay because it never is good to keep good things to yourself.
So if you have the chance, go out and enjoy an evening stroll along the beach. You won’t regret it.

About the photo
There really wasn’t anything fancy about the taking of this photo. Just a quick shot as we strolled along on our evening walk. I did not use a tripod, as there was still some light outside. And besides that, carrying a tripod would have made the stroll less enjoyable.
The processing was a little more fancy, as I combined three different exposures from the original Raw file for this one photo. In addition to the base exposure, I added in some darker areas for the sky and some lighter areas to bring out the white foam in the water. And I enhanced the colors quite a bit as well, just to make it even more pleasing.
