Evening on the Disney Dream Promenade
The Deck 4 Promenade on the Disney Cruise Line’s Disney Dream is a great place to relax, no matter the time of day.
If you have read much of Burnsland our about our Disney Cruises in the past, you know how much we love the Deck 4 Promenade on the Disney ships. There really isn’t much to add to all of that, except to say, “Hey, look how cool it looks out there in the early evening!”
From our Disney cruising experience, any time out on the Promenade is a good time, no matter what the time. The night views are good, the day views are good. But this evening view is really nice, too. The blue sky and water, the yellowish lights. And those inviting deck chairs:
Sometimes I wonder if it would be a good idea to have a couple of chairs like that in our house. But somehow, I just don’t think it would be the same. The chairs are rather comfortable, but what really makes them special is the view. Can’t duplicate that at our landlocked house. Even if we were to put in a lake, it still just wouldn’t quite be the same, would it? So maybe instead of trying to spend money on some of those chairs, I should instead just save up for another cruise. Buying the chairs would definitely be cheaper, though. Just not quite as much fun.
You may notice in the detail photo above that there is one guy off in the distance who has the right idea. While everyone else is inside eating dinner or watching the show in the theater, this guy has the Promenade mostly to himself. Except for a few of us passers-by, of course. This photo didn’t take itself, after all!

About the Photo
This one turned out to be rather tricky to get the photo to look straight. And if you look at it long enough, it still doesn’t look exactly straight, depending on what you are looking at. The original version definitely wasn’t straight. So I adjusted it so that the ladder at the right was vertical, but then the rest of it was off. I adjusted it so that the horizon (seen at the left out at sea) was straight, but then the rest of it was really off. So I just did the best I could, since all sorts of lines are going in all sorts of directions here. Hopefully, it isn’t too distracting.
And please don’t judge the cropped detail photo and its lack of sharp focus too harshly, okay? Thanks.
