Easter Sunday 2014
On Easter Sunday, we were at the Lads to Leaders Convention at the Gaylord Opryland Resort, as we have been for the past 7 or so Easters. More about all of that later on, but for now, here are some family photos from Easter Sunday.
First up is a group shot of all of our family, which is the three of us and my parents, if you weren’t sure. Our church group takes family photos at this same place each year after the large morning worship service. So if you think you have seen something like this photo before, you would be right. And we don’t look that different from year to year, do we?
And here are my parents in that same photo spot. Just in case you wanted to see what they look like without the three of us there.
This family photo is one of those cases of “too many cameras,” so that Jaylin wasn’t exactly sure where to look at the right moment.
An excellent photo of Laura and Jaylin in the Garden Conservatory of the Gaylord Opryland. This area of the hotel is our usual photo spot after the above photo spot. At least we are consistent.
I’m really not sure what is going on here, but I think it was all in good fun and not an attempt at a headlock.
Another photo of Laura and Jaylin. Shades of blue were in style for the day, as we were all wearing them. And we didn’t even get together and coordinate our wardrobes ahead of time.
Here is a somewhat rare photo of Laura and me. Jaylin took this one with my camera, and apparently he was rather fond of all the jungle-like greenery around. And all of those plants are pretty cool, so I don’t blame him at all for including them.
Jaylin smiles for the camera. He is quite fond of his Spider-Man bow tie that we found at a craft fair recently.
A solo photo of Laura. One of my favorite photos from the weekend, too.
Lastly, here is a photo of the three generations of Burns men. And it probably won’t be all that long before Jaylin is taller than both of us. Which is fine. Not that I am all that tall or anything.
