Distant Bridges
Highway and railroad bridges stand out against the natural landscape under a blue sky.
As I was driving back home after a business meeting in Oxford, Mississippi, I stopped along the way to get a photo of some of the bridges that the highway used. Except that there wasn’t a good spot to get a photo of them.
On my way to the meeting, I had seen a boat ramp near the bridge, and I thought it might make for a good photo location, but the parking area for the boat ramp turned out to be too far away to get a good view of the bridges. Oh well, I was pretty happy with this view, thanks to that great sky.
There are actually two bridges at the left of this photo. One is used for the highway, and the other is used for the railroad track that runs parallel to the highway. But seen from here, you can’t really distinguish between the two.
This is one of those photos that some say might lack a clear focus. Is it the roadway? The water? The sky? In my opinion, the focus is the whole scene, because I was enjoying the overall view.
