The Disney Fantasy and Blue Water at Cozumel
Blue View
A view of the bow of the Disney Fantasy, some very blue water, and the coast of Cozumel, Mexico, as seen during our 2022 Disney Cruise.
After sailing away from Florida in a tropical depression and then enjoying a beautiful day at sea, we reached our first port of the cruise, which was Cozumel.
We spent the morning exploring the port of Cozumel (and looking for one of my favorite things, Coca-Cola with real sugar - success!), and then we returned to the Disney Fantasy for a late lunch. After lunch, I spent some time walking and taking photos, and this was one of those photos.
We had been up at the Satellite Falls area of the ship earlier in the morning, but I did not have my camera with me at that time. I made sure I went back up there when I did have my camera, because I loved this view. The water had such beautiful shades of blue, and the sky, clouds, and sunshine were just perfect, too. Earlier in the day, we could even see rather large fish swimming in the water down below, because the water was so clear. It was a beautiful day in a beautiful port!
Getting Ahead
But I am actually getting a little ahead of myself in the story of our cruise. The first part of the trip report was posted earlier this week, and there is much more where that came from. To keep up with it all, be sure to visit the main 2022 Disney Cruise page to see all of the latest updates. I plan to keep posting some individual photos such as this one, and then the trip report parts will have lots of photos in them as well.
I shouldn’t run out of photos any time soon, however, because I took over 1,400 photos during our trip! And I figure that sharing them like this is better than inviting you to our house, pulling out the slide projector (remember those?), and telling you about each photo one by one!
We all have stories to share, and we often like to share those stories. But do we take the time to listen to the stories that others want to share? I am not trying to guilt you into reading all that I post here. But I am encouraging you to listen when others have something to say. Conversations and relationships are two-way streets after all.
Show you care in addition to wanting to share.

About the Photo
This photo is one of those that did not take too much post-processing work. Some increased color saturation, some decreasing of the highlights and increasing the shadows, and a little mid-level detail boost, and that was it. And some slight leveling because I still can’t seem to hold the camera level on my own.
