Diamond Horseshoe and Trash Cans

Diamond Horseshoe and Trash Cans in Frontierland in the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World

The Diamond Horseshoe is found in Tomorrowland at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom. Just kidding. Of course, it is in Frontierland. Or maybe on the border between Frontierland and Liberty Square. It represents the saloons in the old days when St. Louis was the jumping-off point for the western frontier.

Unfortunately, there are also trash cans in this photo. Or more accurately, a trash can and a recycle can. I am glad that they have trash cans so that people don’t just throw their trash on the ground, although some people do that anyway. And I am glad they have the recycle cans because I like to recycle my plastic Coke bottles instead of just throwing them away.

But couldn’t they have found a slightly more out-of-the-way place for them than right there by the steps to the Diamond Horseshoe? Is it really necessary for them to be right there?

Maybe on my next trip, I should go move them, get a shot similar to this one, and then move them back. That wouldn’t arouse any suspicion, would it?
