Daily Photo: Waves on the Sand
Waves roll over the sand onto the shore at Lori Wilson Park in Cocoa Beach, Florida, as beachgoers enjoy the water.
If you think about it, waves coming onto the shore are the same thing, over and over. And over and over. And over and over. One wave after another. They keep on coming, day and night. No one turns off the wave machine after everyone goes home. The waves just keep coming.
And yet, I could sit there and watch the waves all day. Even if they are the same thing. There is something interesting about them. Because although they are the same thing over and over, each wave is different. Each wave is unique.
Of course, actually being out in the waves, letting them push you around, trying not to get knocked over, is even better, at least for a while. But then it is back to the shore, watching the waves again and again.
