Daily Photo: Triceratop Spin

Triceratop Spin in Dino-Rama at Disney’s Animal Kingdom stand in the early morning light, waiting for spinners to come its way.

I have mixed feelings about Dino-Rama. I know it is supposed to be like a roadside carnival, and it pulls off that look very well, even down to the parking stripes on the “cracked” parking lot. But to me, it just doesn’t quite fit in with the theme of the rest of Animal Kingdom. I know it was added in after parents complained that there wasn’t enough for kids to do there. And the kids do seem to enjoy it. It still just isn’t quite right to me.

But it does sometimes have some good photo opportunities.

About the Photo

The sunlight was just right for this in my opinion. Couldn’t have asked for anything better. Three exposures (-2, 0, +2) merged and tonemapped in Photomatix, edited with some Nik color filters in PaintShop Pro.
