Daily Photo: Osborne Family Lights

One of my favorite things to see at Walt Disney World during the Christmas holidays is the Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. All those lights all around you. Not to mention the “snow” falling. We usually make two trips through, just to see if we have seen everything there is to see, which we probably haven’t. So many cool little details.

The lighted canopy in this photo was animated this year, which was a new detail. So if it looks like some lights are brighter than others, that is because there was a pattern sweeping across the lights. Cool stuff.

About the Photo

This was from our second trip through the area, which meant that there were fewer people around. That made it easier to set up the tripod without being in everyone’s way. Three exposures (-2, 0, +2) merged and tonemapped in Photomatix, and then finished up in GIMP.
