Daily Photo: Old Camera

I got this old camera from my good friend Connie the other day, and I couldn’t resist getting a photo of it. An old camera photographed by a new camera, with completely different technology. Remember film? And it is a Kodak camera, which is just a bit bittersweet these days.

I love the way things were made back in that time. The heavily mechanical look has always been interesting to me, and I can see why steampunk is popular.

I may have to get some closer detail shots of this camera in the future.

About the Photo

As with the train photo from the other day, I just used the natural light coming in through the window. I had the (new) camera on a tripod, and I used a long exposure. Although perhaps a higher ISO with more grain might have been more fitting. Edited in PaintShop Pro to give a slightly antique look instead of my usual bold colors.
Camera: Canon EOS 60D
Lens: Canon EF 50mm f/1.8
