Just about every time we are at the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World, I try to get a picture of Nugget Way at Big Thunder Mountain. Nugget Way is actually one of the exit paths at the end of the ride, although walking back up it will give a great overview of the mountain and the passing trains.

I always try to get a photo of the mountain, the trail, and the sign all in one shot. This is the entry from our most recent trip. Not necessarily my favorite in some ways, although I do like it overall. And hey, there’s my shadow! Good thing it wasn’t Groundhog Day.

About the Photo

Overall, I like the wide view here, although I might try a slightly different composition the next time around. Three exposures (-2, 0, +2) tonemapped in Photomatix, edited in PaintShop Pro. Read more about the photo software I use.
