Daily Photo: Mountain View

As you approach the village of Serka Zong, the mountains of the Himalayas are in view off in the distance. Of course, this is actually in Florida, at Disney’s Animal Kingdom at Walt Disney World.

And the mountain peaks that make up Expedition: Everest don’t actually all represent Mt. Everest, but rather a range of mountains. Only one of the peaks (which you can’t see here) is Mt. Everest.

About the shot:
I have always liked this view, and at this particular time of day, the sunlight was just right to get the shot that I wanted. Three exposures (-2, 0, +2) merged and tonemapped in Photomatix, with final editing in PaintShop Pro.
