Daily Photo: Looking Up at the Chinese Theater
The Chinese Theater at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Florida serves as the entrance to the Great Movie Ride, one of the original attractions from the opening day of the Disney-MGM Studios, as it was called at the time.
Of course, these days the best views of the Chinese Theater are blocked by the large Sorcerer Hat that was placed in front of it. And at least one rumor states that the Chinese Theater facade will be replaced by a Carthay Circle Theater facade, which might prove to be a problem because Hollywood Studios already has a Carthay Circle Theater on Sunset Boulevard.
I have always liked the Chinese Theater. The reproduction of the courtyard, where this photo was taken, is a rather unique area, and to me, the Chinese Theater is much more recognizable than the Carthay Circle Theater. So I hope it stays around.
But that is just my opinion, and I am not in charge of such things.
