Daily Photo: Disney Trivia Medal

The other day, I was looking for something in an old desk in the attic, and I found a white box. When I opened it up, I found this medal inside:

Disney Store Trivia Medal

I really had forgotten that I had this, but when I found it, a flood of memories came back to me.

This was from my days of working as a Disney Store Cast Member. There was an annual Disney Trivia Competition, which of course was right up my alley. Each store would select a representative to compete in the district competition, and those with the top winning scores in the district competitions would go to the Trivia Finals at Disneyland. This medal was given to the district winners in 1997.

I had the privilege of going to Disneyland for the finals in 1993, 1995, and 1997. After my first time in 1993, they instituted a rule that everyone could only compete in the finals twice before you were “retired.” Somewhere at home, I have my retirement plaque, and one of these days I will photograph that as well.

Here are just a few other pictures from those Trivia days at Disneyland.
