Daily Photo: Christmas Tree Close-up

Every year, I take some close-up pictures of our Christmas tree. And every year they look just about the same. But every year I like them, too. So next year, I will probably do just the same.

This view gives just a little glimpse at our eclectic ornament collection. If you look, you can see Pooh, Eeyore, Indiana Jones, Cowboy Santa, and even Miss Piggy. And that really is just a start.

Yes, it is a bit out of focus. And some of the Christmas lights are blown out. But that is okay with me. This is an HDR from three exposures: -2, 0, +2. Merged and tonemapped in Photomatix, and then touched up just a bit in GIMP.
