Crystal Palace at Walt Disney World / Observations of the Past Week
Crystal Palace at Walt Disney World
The Crystal Palace restaurant in the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World is one of those places that I have never eaten at. As far as I can remember, I have only walked through the building one time, although we often walk right past it as a shortcut to get from Adventureland to Main Street USA.
But even though I haven’t eaten there, I always come away with a picture or two of the building. In this one, I wasn’t really happy with the sky. I would have preferred having either a blue sky or more clouds. But because I can’t just order up the weather, I took what I got. And it isn’t all that bad, I suppose.

Observations of the Past Week
After taking on double duty last time around, the Observations (from Twitter and/or Facebook) are back in just a one week format this week. Because I don’t know that you could handle much more.
When you go out of town for a week and it doesn’t rain while you’re gone, you don’t have to worry about cutting the grass. (But who’s complaining? Not me.)
The real world comes calling early on a Monday morning after a great week at the beach. Oh well. (Not that I’m complaining about a week at the beach.)
Happy Tuesday, everyone! Although I woke up thinking it was Wednesday. Strange. (Don’t you hate waking up all confused? Don’t you hate it even more when it doesn’t wear off?)
Tuesdays move in sloooooow motionnnnnnnn. (Dear Thursday, You don’t have to be like Tuesday.)
It’s 10:00, and it’s only 92 outside. Where’s all this heat everyone is complaining about? (The 90s are the new 80s.)
At the grocery store, I make two trips down the spice aisle. I like to have plenty of thyme on my hands. (Next time on “Sage Advice from Rosemary”)
Good morning! Have you hugged your Thursday today? (Of course, Thursday isn’t quite as huggable as Friday.)
So today we have a Severe Thunderstorm Watch and an Excessive Heat Watch. You would think they would cancel each other out. (Sometimes I think the weathermen like to mess with our minds.)
It’s already 2:30, and we haven’t made it to 100 degrees yet! It’s a good day! (You know it’s extreme heat when you notice when, and not if, you reach 100 degrees.)
It’s Friday! Or around here, it might be Fry-day. (Just roll me in oil before I walk outside, and I’ll be done.)
Goodbye, Juno! Send me a postcard from Jupiter! (Watching an unmanned NASA launch is just about as exciting as watching a manned launch!)
Dear Rain, Our air conditioner really appreciates not having to work as hard today. Keep up the good work! Sincerely, Steve. (P.S. Don’t be a stranger.)
Words from the Bible
Endure hardship as discipline; God is treating you as sons. For what son is not disciplined by his father? - Hebrews 12:7
