Country Roads, Take Me Home

Country Roads, Take Me Home

This is the view down the road from the end of our driveway on a morning that saw both fog and sun, an interesting combination.

I admit that the title of this post is rather odd. First off, I can’t be asking the country road to take me home, because I was already at home when I took this photo. Actually, the country road was about to take me away from home, as I was on my way to work.

And second, the actual title of the John Denver song is “Take Me Home, Country Roads.” Most people assume it is the other way around, as I have it in the title, because that is the way the chorus starts out.

But either way, when I drive on our country roads, it does sometimes make me think of the song. Along with a feeling that I should have been home yesterday. Oh wait, I was home yesterday. Or at least last night after work.

But I will gladly go home again. Which of course will bring up another John Denver song about being back home again.
