Cocoa Beach Over the Dunes

Cocoa Beach Over the Dunes

Cocoa Beach in Florida is seen over the sand dunes at Lori Wilson Park. I like the view of the beach from across the dunes, so I usually manage to get a photo or similar to this one.

While in previous years I have liked using my wide angle lens, this time around I like the effect from the zoom lens for this view. I didn’t zoom in all that far, keeping it somewhat wide, but still closer than what I have shot in the past few visits. And you can always count on everyone’s beach umbrellas to add some color to the scene.

This is the time of the year when I always start longing for the beach. Summer is winding down. The temperatures are starting to get cooler. At least they usually are in September - not so much this year, yet. And I think back to those fun days at the beach in the warmth of the sun, just being generally lazy and enjoying the water and the sand. No real responsibilities.

When I compare that with the rush of the school year and football season, it really sounds pretty nice.
