Cinderella Castle All Alone

What could be better than having Cinderella Castle at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom all to yourself? Pretty cool, huh?

Okay, so we didn’t quite have it all to ourselves. There were some people just to the right of the frame who were about to walk up the walkway. But besides that, there really wasn’t anyone around. And yes, this was during normal park operating hours. Once the park opened, we just walked down Main Street to the castle. Evidently, everyone else was hurrying off to Space Mountain or Big Thunder Mountain.

So this is a sight you don’t often see. And I’m willing to guess there is a good chance that you didn’t even know there was a compass rose on the ground in front of the castle, either. It is usually hard to see because of all the people standing on top of it, but it really is there.

Now if they would just take all of those platform-and-arch things off the stage when they aren’t being used, it would be even better.
