Castaway Cay Christmas Tree on our Disney Cruise
Ship and Tree
A Christmas Tree stands near where the Disney Dream is docked at Castaway Cay, as seen during our 2018 Christmas Disney Cruise.
Castaway Cay is always one of my favorite places, thanks to the tropical climate and beautiful beaches. Before our Disney Cruise last December, I was wondering how it would be since we would be arriving just before the start of winter. As it turns out, it was just as wonderful as ever.
We enjoyed nice warm weather, which was just right for being out on the beach. It was slightly cooler than on our summer visits, but still much warmer than what the folks back at home were experiencing.
And to top it off, Christmas decorations were waiting for us as we left the ship. I was interested to see that as tall as the Christmas Tree was, it was nowhere near as tall as the ship. But that is mainly because the ships are so enormously tall. A Christmas Tree that was taller than the ship would have looked out of place on Castaway Cay. So the one that they had was just fine.
Beachy Christmas Tree

The beach ornaments were really cool. They almost looked as if they were made of sand as if someone went out to the beach with some sand toys to create them. It was a perfect Disney Cruise Christmas Tree.
As you can see here from this view, when you are standing right next to the Christmas Tree it is definitely tall enough. It only looks short when you compare it to a Disney Cruise ship. But it is much, much taller than our Christmas Tree at home. In fact, this tree is still taller than our house.
However, we would have gladly taken home one of those sand ornaments if we could have. Although it would have looked absolutely huge on our tree.
Bible Verse
I do not cease to give thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers, that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of him. - Ephesians 1:16-17
About the Photos
Because it was late in the afternoon at the time that I took these photos, the sky was a bit washed out in the original photos. Fortunately, Aurora HDR could pull some sky information from the Raw file and make everything look more balanced here.
