Canada in Epcot at Walt Disney World
A waterfall flows near the Hotel du Canada in the early evening in Epcot’s World Showcase at Walt Disney World.
The pathway that leads to the O Canada CircleVision 360 movie in Canada in Epcot is pretty cool, I think. I like how it takes you through the mountains and past the waterfall, down into a mine inside the mountain. And on this occasion in the early evening, the clouds added an interesting texture to the sky.
Of course, you know that the “mountains” and “rocks” aren’t really real, right? Although I do have it on good authority that the water is in fact 100% real. The mountains are meant to represent the Rocky Mountains in the western part of Canada, although the real Rocky Mountains are obviously much taller than what you see here. But it was pretty clever to hide the CircleVision theater in a mountain, I think.
This photo continues the “Find Laura and Jaylin” series that I first mentioned in the Seabase Alpha photo. Jaylin and his orange shirt from Castaway Cay are pretty obvious here, but you can’t see Laura quite as well since she is blocked by Jaylin. So to make up for that, here is a better view of Laura in Canada:
And yes, although the posts here will be focusing more and more on our recent cruise to Mexico, there are still several from our Florida trip in June to be posted, so be sure to watch for those from time to time.

About the photo:
The evening light filtering through the clouds brought a unique quality that night, so I was fairly certain that the photos from that time would turn out well. As you may know, that special light never lasts all that long, so I didn’t have time to run all the way around World Showcase for photos of each pavilion. But Canada wasn’t a bad place to be at that time, since there are several good photo opportunities there.
As usual, the processing brought out all of the interesting qualities even more. Here is the before and after photo to prove it:
