Burnsland Podcast Episode 12 - Outdo One Another in Showing Honor

Listen In

The Burnsland Podcast is back again with the 12th episode, and this one picks up where the last one left off, sort of.

Last time in the discussion on marriage, I mentioned a particular phrase, “Outdo one another in showing honor.” That is actually a Bible verse, coming from Romans 12:10. While that was mentioned rather briefly in Episode 11, I thought it would be good to discuss a little further, and so that is the focus here in Episode 12.

What does it mean to show honor? And how do we outdo each other in doing it? Listen in to hear some thoughts and ideas on that.

As you might be able to tell, many of these podcast episodes tie together, and many of them are around the same central theme. How we treat others is one of the most important things in our lives. That can make all the difference in the world. And it can even change the world, at least where we are.

So outdo one another in showing honor. I dare you!

About the Music

Here is a fun fact about the music in this episode. At one point, I mention that outdoing one another sounds like a contest of sorts. So for the music in between segments, I used the song “Game Show,” which I originally wrote in the style of a 1970s television game show. Yes, this same music was previously used in Episode 7, and it was also the theme song for the Beyond the Berm podcast, but I thought it went well here. Can you just imagine if there were a game show about outdoing one another in showing honor? That would be so cool!
