Burns Family Thanksgiving 2019

Thankful

Most every year, we go to my parents’ house for Thanksgiving Day. We eat together, watch football, talk, eat some more, and watch some more football. It is our own family tradition for Thanksgiving. And it is good.

Somewhere along the way, we added a family photo to our tradition. So of course, we continued that this year, too. I got out my camera and my remote trigger, controlled by my phone which was in my left hand behind Jaylin. Just in case you were wondering who took the photo. And Laura and my Mom did the trendy girl pose, too. We guys did not participate in that part.

Family

Our Thanksgiving group was a little smaller this year than in previous years for a few different reasons. Here is our group from last year:

I’m not sure why, but I never had posted that one here last year. I am glad that we got this photo last year, because my grandmother passed away earlier this year. Just a reminder to enjoy the time you have with those you love.

Even though we had a smaller group this year, Mom and Laura cooked like they always do. So we had plenty of food. And we were able to eat a few more meals from it all for a few days afterward. Some people complain about leftovers, but they are just fine with me. It is hard to beat Thanksgiving food, even reheated Thanksgiving food.

Here’s hoping you had a good Thanksgiving, too!

Bible Verse

Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. - 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

About the Photos

Both photos were taken with the same camera and the same lens, although the inside one used a flash while the outside one used natural light. It was just a little too cold to go outside for our photo this year, so the flash worked just fine.

And as you can see, my processing style has changed a bit over the last year. Last year’s photo was good, but I like the look of this year’s photo even better.
