Big Thunder Mine

Apparently, I have a Big Thunder theme this week, because a couple of days ago I posted Nugget Way and Big Thunder Mountain. But I forgot about that until I was starting to post this. So I’ll try to do something else next time.

The Big Thunder Mine serves as the entrance for Big Thunder Mountain Railroad in Frontierland at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom. Here, the afternoon sun was beginning to go down, putting it just above the mine entrance. This caused a bit of sun flare, which for whatever reason came out green in the lower right area of the frame.

And it is interesting to me how the rocks here at Big Thunder Mountain look just like the rocks on the other side of the park at the Tomorrowland entrance. Coincidence? Hmmm.
