A Beach View in Hawaiʻi / Go Easy
What a View
Waves gently roll onto the sun-washed sand at ʻAliomanu Beach on the island of Kauaʻi, as seen during our 2018 Kauaʻi trip. Those are some good memories.
As you probably know, we have not been anywhere on a vacation this year. Some people have chosen to go places, while others have chosen to stay home where they feel more safe. Either decision is fine, as it depends on individual circumstances. For us, staying home has been the best choice. For others, the need to get out might take precedence. It is a tough call for some, and an easy decision for others.
As a result of our staying at home, most of the posts I have shared over the past several months have been photos from around our home. You may have noticed that with the 50with50 series. Most of those photos were taken either in our house or outside in our yard.
But every now and then, I still like to share a photo or two from somewhere else besides home. One of the benefits of taking way too many photos is that you have lots and lots to share. This photo of ʻAliomanu Beach in Kauaʻi definitely fits the bill. I took many photos at this beautiful beach. Many of the photos look somewhat similar, but they are all beautiful. So I thought this one would be good to share.
Go Easy on Everyone
One thing I have learned during this time of COVID-19 is the need to go easy on everyone. Everyone is fighting their own battles. People are going through all sorts of things. All of this is new. This is something we have not experienced before.
What works for me might not work for you. We have had a pretty easy time of staying around home. Life is good here, and we have plenty to keep us busy. Others have had the need to get out more and be around other people. And there is nothing wrong with that when it is done in a safe way.
Have a little patience. Show a little grace. Extend an extra measure of kindness. Be mindful of others and their needs and concerns. Love everyone, no matter what.
Go easy on everyone. Even though it has been several months now, we are all still going through a lot.
Bible Verse
Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honor. - Romans 12:10
About the Photo
This photo was one of those easy ones to process. I just loaded it into Aurora HDR and picked a preset that I had created based on another Kauaʻi beach photo. And then I was pretty much done. Just some minor tweaks to the settings.
Some photos are so beautiful that they do not take much extra work. This one was definitely in that category. It was a beautiful place to be, and I am glad we had the opportunity to be there. I love a good beach, and this one was exceptionally good.
