Beach Stuff at Cocoa Beach

There is lots of beach stuff to be seen on the beach at Cocoa Beach, Florida, in this photo. For example, you can see beach towels, beach shoes, beach bags beach umbrellas, beach chairs, and even beach people. There are even a couple of beach birds flying around if you look closely.

I hardly ever see any beach blankets, though. I guess people now mainly just use beach towels. Do they even make beach blankets anymore? And if so, do people actually play bingo with them? Maybe there is something I am missing there.

Unlike some of my other photos from this trip, this one has more of an aged look instead of the usual bright colors that I produce. One could get into a whole symbolic argument that the faded colors represent my fading memories of the beach as the time passes. Or even the fading memories of summer as winter is quickly approaching.

But really, I just wanted to do something different. So much for symbolism.

About the Photo

Read all the above about the different look. This was still produced in Lightroom, but I dialed down the saturation and vibrance quite a bit from what I usually do. And I didn’t try to remove the grain, either, because I thought a slightly more grainy look worked well with these colors.
