A Place on the Beach

A Place on the Beach at Cocoa Beach, Florida

Our stuff sits under our beach umbrella at Cocoa Beach, Florida. Ah, summer - where have you gone?

From this view, it really does look like we were almost alone on the beach, doesn’t it? Well, that is because we were, except for those few people walking by the water line out there. Even the lifeguard chair was empty. That was one of the good things about arriving early in the day. We got there ahead of the crowd each day, which gave us some nice quiet time before everyone else started arriving.

Of course, there is a downside to that, too. Because it is early in the day, it isn’t quite as warm out as later on. Once it gets hot out, the cool water really feels good. But early in the day, the cool water feels cold. But that’s okay. We didn’t have to go get in the water right away, anyway. We could just enjoy sitting there and looking at the view, enjoying the fact that there weren’t people in the way between us and the water.

Sounds just about perfect, doesn’t it?

It was.
