A Nice, Warm Beach Day

A Nice, Warm Beach Day at Cocoa Beach, Florida

At Lori Wilson Park in Cocoa Beach, Florida, the sun shines bright on the sand and the ocean while it is blocked by our beach umbrella as our boards sit ready for action. Others are already out enjoying the warmth and the water.

After last week’s series of Winter Weather posts, I decided it was time to get back to something nice and warm around here. I know I am ready for warmer weather, and I would guess that most people are, too. Maybe everyone doesn’t want it to be as warm as I might want it to be, but these days I am happy with anything above freezing.

I have always thought that I would enjoy the snow and ice more if it weren’t so cold outside. But then if it weren’t cold outside, you wouldn’t have snow and ice. Which wouldn’t be entirely bad. But they are nice to see, especially if you can mostly just look at them through the window. But sooner or later you have to go out in the cold, and that is when you realize that the beauty of snow comes with a price. And that price is often the feeling in your toes as you walk through the cold.

So I am looking forward to the warmer temperatures of spring and keeping the feeling in my toes. Hopefully, that will last for a while now.
